Sportstastic!

Today we wore sports clothes to help raise money for Sports Relief.
We had a whole sports morning trying out lots of different activities.
We warmed our bodies up so that we were ready to be active.
Then we went outside and jogged around the school grounds. We did two very long laps!

Then we tried lots of different activities like sack racing, throwing and catching, hula hooping, parachute games and ribbon dancing.

Then Mr Barratt came and taught us some exercises, that really made us hot and puffed out!

What a fun but tiring morning we have had! We will all sleep well tonight!

Celebration Table

Mrs Barratt has a new special table on Fridays. It was Foundation's turn for a special treat this week. All of the Foundation grown ups got to choose a person that had worked hard or done something special.  They got to have their lunch on a special table in the middle of the hall and lucky Mrs Cook got to join them too!
We had flowers, special plates and even posh glasses and juice.

Creative collaboration!

Today we decided that we needed a rocket to travel between the ice planet and the fire planet.
We worked together to design a rocket. We designed one but then we decided that we would not all fit in if the rocket was pointing up.  We redesigned the rocket so that there was more space for us all.
We worked really well together sharing ideas and drawing a plan.  We labelled the plan so that we all knew exactly what we wanted the rocket to look like.

Plan 1

Plan 2

Our final design

When we had finished our plan we gathered a selection of materials and objects and made our rocket.

We started with this...
We found some seats
We thought this would make a great engine
We added the rocket booster for the fire
A roof and a pointy bit!!

We had so much fun using our imagination and working together. We had to listen to each others ideas. By working together we made a fantastic rocket and then we had a great time blasting off on adventures in it!

Mud Kitchen

We have had a great afternoon exploring our new mud kitchen. We have measured and poured, mixed and splashed and scooped and squelched! What a great way to spend an afternoon.
In fact it was so popular we had to extend it!

Our Visit to the Pantomime!

"Oh, no it's not!"
"Oh, yes it is!"

That was the theme for our amazing afternoon today when we went to see Cinderella at the Lincoln Drill Hall. We had a fantastic time watching the show and we especially enjoyed all of the singing, dancing, music and taking part in all of the shouting and screaming when we were supposed to as part of the fun!

Getting very excited on the coach on the way to the pantomime!

So excited!

Lining up so beautifully and sensibly outside the Drill Hall.

Cinderella!

We loved it!

Busy Little Christmas Elves

Today was our school's annual Christmas market, and over the past couple of weeks Foundation have been very busy little Christmas elves making lots of lovely things to sell so that we can raise some money for charity. We have worked really hard to make sure that our Christmas tree decorations and Christmassy cakes were the best that they could be, and we had to think carefully about the order that we were making to make sure that we got everything right. Making the crafts also helped us to make our fingers strong, because our busy little fingers had to cut and thread and push and pull and knead and stir and lift and paint and sprinkle! What busy little Christmas elves we are!

Making the icing for our Christmassy cakes.
