Planning and building.

We have been busy bees in Foundation this week. We have been using information books and photographs to research what a castle looks like and what features it has. We then designed our own castle making sure we labelled our plans. Finally, we had lots of fun constructing our castles. We had to use our imaginations and think about what shape and size different parts needed to be. Look at our amazing plans and our super castles.

Snow fun

We have had lots of fun in the snow this week. We have built snowmen, learning about 3d shapes, working together and careful counting as we put their features on. We also used lots of comparison language such as bigger and smaller. We even did some writing in the snow. Learning can be SO much fun!!!

Our First Assembly

The Foundation children went into assembly for the first time today. We watched the Key Stage one celebration assembly and learnt how we can earn special certificates for being chosen as the star of the week. We also celebrated the people who have birthdays during the week. We had to try very hard to listen and sit nicely, we were brilliant! We will be going in to assembly every Wednesday afternoon and from next week we will be having our very own star of the week in each class. I wonder who it will be....
