Foundation had a fantastic end of topic treat today. We all became Princesses, Knights and Kings and had a royal ball. We dressed up in our special clothes. Then the Knights and Kings escorted the Princesses in to the hall where we were announced! We danced and practised curtsying and bowing. We had a royal feast (no royal feast is complete without party rings!) and finally we watched Mulan. This finished off our Princess, Knights and Castle topic and started our mini topic next week on China and Chinese New Year.

How do we learn er?
Mrs Cook's group have been working very hard to learn all of their sounds. When we recapped our sounds this week, we realised we kept forgetting the 'er' sound. We decided to have an 'er' day on Friday to help us remembER! We used a mixER to make gingERbread men. We cut the gingERbread mixture out with a cuttER. We practised the sound lots. Hopefully we will remembER it now!
Stay and play
We had a great time this week when our grown ups came to join in our learning for the morning. We loved showing them around our classroom and explaining how we learn a rainbow. We had so much fun doing activities together, getting even more clever. We can't wait for the next one! When Mrs Cook looked at the photos she wasn't sure who had had more fun, the children or the grown ups!!! What do you think?
