Spiders and webs

On Fine motor Friday we used clay to make a spider. It was much trickier to use than play dough as it was firmer. This was good because it meant it was trickier for our finger to use, which means it was helping to make our fingers stronger. We rolled a ball for the spiders body and then we had to make eight thin legs.
We also used really fine brushes to paint spiders webs. This was helping to make our fingers stronger too. We looked really closely at books, photos and even real spiders webs to see the patterns and copy them.

  1. How wonderful your spiders look Mrs. Cook. The children seemed to have a great time making them.
